Travel To Edinburgh Scotland And Cheap Hostels Online Date Added: January 06, 2008 06:42:11 PM ONE VISIT TO EDINBURGH SCOTLAND IS NOT ENOUGH TO ENJOY WHAT THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY HAS OFFER Since I was a teenager, I have been lucky enough to travel to many exotic and far flung places around the world, first with my parents on family holidays, then as a student backpacker at university with big and small groups of friends and now as a well travelled and fun seeking budget traveller. During my travel, I usually stay in the same kind of cheap youth hostel accommodation, bed and breakfast or budget hotels it all depends on which city I am in. No matter what country or city I visit around the world, I still have to admit that some of the greatest destinations for leisure and tourism, in my opinion, are on my doorstep, in this case I am talking about Edinburgh, the unforgettable capital of Scotland. Driving from London to Edinburgh is one of my favourite journeys, as the miles fly by it gives you time to organise in your mind, what you’re going to do once you hit Edinburgh. Edinburgh is an amazing city in Scotland that combines its historical heritage and modern day life with ease; you feel like you have been transported back in time but still have all the perks of the modern world. The City is overlooked by the famous Edinburgh Castle, perched on the top of a hill in the city centre. The Historic castle merges seamlessly with the vibrant modern city centre filled with shops, bars and restaurants and emphasises the contrast and variety on offer in this great city from cobbled street in the old city and paved walkways in the new city to wide open parks and monuments. I first to came to Edinburgh as a student to visit some friends that were studying at Edinburgh University, I crashed in the students halls of residence with my mates, now days, I plan ahead and book my Edinburgh Cheap Hostels Accommodation, Bed and Breakfast, Guesthouse and Budget Hotels online before I travel so I have somewhere cheap to stay while I’m in Edinburgh. One time a couple of years back, I thought that because I know the city and the best places to stay I would just walk in and book my Dorm bed when I arrived, need less to say it didn’t quite work out and I spent a couple of uncomfortable nights sleeping in my car! Not the best way to enjoy Edinburgh. Now, I always book online before I travel, I like a comfortable bed to sleep in and a hot breakfast in the morning to get me ready for the day. My days in Edinburgh are packed with things to do, A walk round Edinburgh Castle is always a must, no matter how many times I come to this city, then off to one of the many Museums or Art galleries, Lunch in one of my favourite cafes, a quick shopping spree, then back to my Edinburgh Budget Hotel for a shower, then I’m ready for a night on the town in one of the bars or night clubs. Things usually run smoothly on my trips to Edinburgh it depends on who I’m travelling with, when there is more than 10 of us it get a bit tricky co-ordinating everything, but at least the groups Edinburgh hostel accommodation is always sorted out online before we travel, its getting everyone to the same bar or night club, at the same time, that is sometimes a bit messy, but that’s what I love about travelling with friends its always an adventure, and your never bored when your with your friends. |
